My first medical project. This physic rehab center, located in Maranhão – Brazil, contacted the agency where I work for and requested a complete brand creation. This was just the oppportunity I was craving to put my hands on!

Brand / Logo Creation
The first step was to collect and distil the client´s briefing. So I had in my hands the opportunity to create my fist medical related logo, but it already started with a big challenge because it was not a simple task for this logo had to explicit it´s physio rehabilitation segment. Trying to find the true nature of this medical area was really hard because the boundaries overlap so easily in this case. Besides, the client wanted the logo to show a stylized humanized figure. There are hundreds of logo templates using this kind of image, so I was trying to achieve something already saturated and spilled over the internet while maintaining a fresh approach and looks. It was many tries and errors, in an exhaustive process until I came up with a well balanced logo that the client really enjoyed. Also the colors (shades of blues) are contrasting enough to show details even in small displays.
Humanittá logo features a stylized human figure with different shades of blue which indicates the healing process (yeah, I know the color for health is supposed to be green, but in this project I took the client´s color taste).
The negative ( black and white ) version is used in darker backgrounds, mostly blue backgrounds. The positive ( colored ) version is used on lighter backgrounds. For this logo I´m using the Museo Slab font, which was trending so much on that year (around 2012 / 2013) and was really smooth and bold enough for the company name, and flowing just right below with the company segment. The font family chosen has a clean, clear and bold legibility with a curvy serif.
So, with the logo approved, I could move on to the next stages of the creation development.
The Humanittá website features at the top wide image slider with square thumbnails created and custom coded exclusively for this client, and below it shows a modular design with boxed content.
This design was created by me and the website was programed by Walther Neto at WBeck agency.
This client provides a lot of content to be displayed in dozens of pages. So, the site map was quite large, but we decided to hand code and design every single page instead of using a premade theme or CMS platform. Besides, we would take care of part of the website updates, therefore we have a better handle control in case we had to grow or shrink the website.
Responsiveness was not requested back at that time, and the main effort was to provide our client an Administrator panel so they could update the information on their own, also, we integrated Twitter inside the website, so the client could tweet news and events.
Another add on of this website is the online appointment system, where patients could make reservations.
Check below some of the artwork I designed for this client´s stationary.
